THE COMMUNITY OF GOD

It is the moral responsiblity of every adult to contribute to the Community of God in two ways. First, the Faithful must contribte financially to the Community. Financial contributions in the way of tithes, gifts and donations should be made to the Church, to Schools, to Hospitals, to Relief Efforts and to Non-Profit Organizations that serve the needs of the general community.  While the unemployed, aged or infirmed should not bare this moral obligation, all able-bodied men and women who are age 17 and older are morally mandated to financially contribute to the Community of God. While it is a moral requisite that the faithful make financial contributions to the Community of God, they shall not bankrupt self nor family in doing so.  There are no preconcieved notions of acceptable gifting.  Rather, it is up to each individual to make this determination.  If every faithful person followed this creed and gifted what they could, all small amounts gifted, added together, would enrich the Community, the Self and the Family.

It is also the moral responsibility of the faithful to offer assistance to the Community not by pledging financial assistance but by offering their service to their community.  Contribution of services will come in many forms.  Some may perform pro bono or volunteer services to the Community. The forms of service will be as varied as the Community of the Faithful.  From pro bono services of doctors, nurses, lawyers, dentisits and other professionals; to shoveling sidewalks and mowing lawns for senior citizens and the disabled; to working in a soup kitchen; to running clothing drives - the possibilities are endless.  While the aged or infirmed should not bare this moral obligation, all persons age 14 and over are morally mandated to provide service to the Community.  The Community to which contributions are made are to the Community of God.  There are no borders or geo-political affiliations.  The Community is local and global.  The Community is comprised of all faiths, nationalities and creeds.  Of the two types of contributions, assistance is, by far, the more pure, honest and worthy.
